성리는 '미스터트롯2'에서 탈락한 것에 대해 "아쉬운 건 아니다.Regarding his elimination from "Mr. Trot 2," Seong-ri said, "It's not a shame. 1~2년전부터 '미스터트롯'만을 바라보고 준비했고 마지막이라는 마음으로 출전했다"며 "떨어질 때쯤에는 기운이 뭔가 좋지 않았는데 막상 합격 명단에 이름이 없으니 앞으로 어쩌나 하는 막막함이 크더라."I've only been looking at 'Mr. Trot' since a year or two ago, and I played with the mind that it was the last time," he said adding, "I didn't feel good by the time I fell, but I didn't have a name on the pass list, so I was at a loss what to do in the future." 죽을 각오로 임했던 만큼 시원섭섭한 마음이 큰 것 같다"고 털어놨다.As much as I was determined to die, I think I have a lot of bitterness."
특히 성리는 '보이스트롯'에서도 좋은 성적을 거두며 트로트가수로서 데뷔했던 만큼 연이은 오디션 프로그램 출연에 대해 "'보이스트롯'을 하면서 많은 관심을 받았고 더 다양한 무대에서 노래하고 싶은 마음이 생겼다"고 했다. 오랜 시간 간절하게 기다려온 '미스터트롯2'였지만 성리는 통편집이라는 굴욕을 맛보기도 했다.It was "Mr. Trot 2," which has been eagerly waiting for a long time, but Seong-ri also tasted the humiliation of editing. 그는 당시를 회상하며 "사실 가장 힘든 순간"이라고 말했다.Recalling that time, he said, "In fact, it's the hardest moment."
성리는 "사실 방송에 제가 통편집된다는 걸 본방을 보면서 알았다"며 "모든 의욕이 다 떨어지더라.Seong-ri said, "In fact, I knew when I watched the show on time that I was being edited out," adding, "All my motivation was lost. 솔직히 남몰래 방에서 혼자 많이 울었다"고 했다.To be honest, I cried a lot secretly in my room."
