(로스앤젤레스=연합뉴스) 정윤섭 특파원 = 박찬욱 감독의 영화 '헤어질 결심'이 12일(현지시간) 골든글로브의 비영어권 영화상 후보에 올랐다.(Los Angeles=Yonhap News) Correspondent Jung Yoon-seop = Director Park Chan-wook's movie "Resolution to Break Up" was nominated for the Golden Globe's Non-English Film Award on the 12th (local time).
제80회 골든글로브를 주관하는 미국 할리우드외신기자협회(HFPA)는 이날 '비영어권 영화 작품상'(Best Picture Non-English Language) 부문 후보에 한국의 '헤어질 결심' 등 5편을 선정했다.The Hollywood Foreign Journalists Association (HFPA), which organizes the 80th Golden Globe, selected five movies, including Korea's "decision to break up," as candidates for the "Best Picture Non-English Language" category.
'헤어질 결심'과 경쟁을 펼칠 나머지 영화는 '서부 전선 이상 없다'(독일), '아르헨티나, 1985'(아르헨티나), '클로즈'(벨기에·프랑스·네덜란드), 'RRR:라이즈 로어 리볼트'(인도) 등이다.The rest of the films that will compete with "Resolution to Break Up" include "No Problem on the Western Front" (Germany), "Argentina," "Argentina," "Close," "Belgium, France and the Netherlands," and "RRRRR: Rise Low Rift" (India).
골든글로브는 아카데미상과 함께 미국의 양대 영화상으로 꼽힌다.Along with the Academy Award, the Golden Globe is considered one of the two major American film awards.
이 영화상은 지난해 HFPA의 인종·성 차별 논란, 운영진의 부정부패 의혹 등이 불거지며 할리우드 영화계의 보이콧 대상이 됐고, 생중계 방송마저 중단됐다.The film award was subject to boycott by the Hollywood film industry last year due to controversy over race and gender discrimination by HFPA and allegations of corruption by management, and even live broadcasting was suspended.
올해에는 NBC 방송이 HFPA의 포용성과 다양성 증진 등 쇄신 작업을 수용해 라이브 중계를 재개하기로 함에 따라 정상화 수순을 밟을 것으로 보인다.This year, NBC is expected to take steps to normalize the broadcast as it has decided to resume live broadcasting by accepting the renovation work such as the inclusion and diversity of HFPA.
제80회 골든글로브 시상식은 내년 1월 10일 캘리포니아주 베벌리힐스의 베벌리 힐튼 호텔에서 열린다.The 80th Golden Globe Awards will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, on January 10 next year.
