동은의 영어 버전은 어떻게 탄생했을까?How did Dong-eun's English version come about? 한국이 아닌, 미국 로스앤젤레스의 더빙 스튜디오에서 완성됐다.It was completed at a dubbing studio in Los Angeles, USA, not in Korea. 아리아는 이곳에서 3개월간 총 16회의 더빙 작업을 진행했다.Aria conducted a total of 16 dubbing operations here for three months.
더빙은 크게 <번역→각색→더빙→편집>이라는 과정을 거친다.Dubbing largely goes through the process of <translation → adaptation → dubbing → editing>. 원작에 충실한 번역, 흐름에 맞게 완벽을 더하는 각색, 성우의 탄탄한 연기, 그리고 꼼꼼한 편집까지.The translation is faithful to the original work, the adaptation that adds perfection to the flow, the solid performance of the voice actor, and the meticulous editing.

A : 모든 프로젝트의 캐스팅이 같은 방식으로 진행되는 건 아니지만...A: Not all projects are cast in the same way... '더 글로리'의 경우, '지옥' 등 몇몇 작품에서 함께 일했던 회사에서 연락이 왔어요.In the case of "The Glory," I got a call from a company I worked with in several works such as "Hell." 일반 더빙 세션처럼 3개의 장면을 더빙했습니다.I dubbed three scenes like a regular dubbing session. 그리고 며칠 후 제안을 받았습니다.A few days later, I received an offer.
D : '더 글로리’를 선택한 계기가 있을까요?D: Is there a reason why you chose "The Glory"?

A : 일반적으로 성우들은 번역에 직접 참여하지는 않아요.A: Generally speaking, voice actors do not directly participate in translation. 번역 작업은 전문 번역 회사에서 이뤄집니다.Translation is done by a professional translator. 원어의 의도를 존중하면서 (영어) 대사가 입술 움직임과 최대한 맞을 수 있도록 각색 과정을(adaptation process) 거칩니다.While respecting the original language's intentions, we go through an adaptation process to ensure that the lines match the lip movement as much as possible. 이 과정에서 프로덕션 대본을 완성하고, 배우들은 녹음 세션에서 해당 대본을 확인하게 됩니다.In this process, the production script is completed, and the actors check the script during the recording session.
