'디어문' 프로젝트는 일본 최대 의류 전문 온라인 쇼핑몰인 조조타운의 설립자이자 전자상거래 기업 스타트투데이 창업자인 유명 기업가 마에자와 유사쿠가 기획한 아트 프로젝트의 일환으로, 약 7일 간 스페이스X가 개발한 우주선을 타고 달 궤도를 돌며 비행하는 일정이다.The "Dear Moon" project is part of an art project organized by famous entrepreneur Yousuku Maezawa, founder of Japan's largest online shopping mall specializing in clothing, and is scheduled to fly around the moon on a spacecraft developed by SpaceX for about seven days.
앞서 그는 프로젝트 발표와 함께 우주선 좌석 8석을 전부 사들이며 화제를 모았고, 지난해 3월 전 세계인을 대상으로 달 비행에 나설 이들을 공개모집한 바 있다.Earlier, he drew attention by buying all eight spacecraft seats along with the project announcement, and in March last year, he openly recruited people around the world to fly to the moon. 해당 공모에는 249개 국가 및 지역에서 백 만명 이상이 지원하며 뜨거운 관심을 입증하기도 했다.More than a million people from 249 countries and regions applied for the contest, proving their keen interest.

탑 외에도 이번 '디어문' 프로젝트에는 국내에서 방탄소년단과의 협업으로 이름을 알린 DJ 겸 프로듀서 스티브 아오키를 비롯해 포토그래퍼 리아논 아담, 카림 일리야, 안무가 예미 A.D., 뮤지션 겸 유튜버 팀 도드, 다큐멘터리 제작자 브렌던 홀, 배우 데브 조시 그리고 예비 크루 멤버인 스노우보더 케이틀린 패링턴, 댄서 미유까지 다양한 국가 및 분야의 아티스트가 발탁됐다.In addition to Top, DJ and producer Steve Aoki, who made his name known in collaboration with BTS in Korea, photographers Ryanon Adam, Karim Ilya, choreographer Yemi A.D., musician and YouTuber Tim Dodd, documentary producer Brendan Hall, actor Deb Josh, and prospective crew member Snowboarder Caitlin Farrington, and dancer Miyu were selected.
