워너브러더스는 6일(한국시간) 공식 트위터에 "아카데미 수상 경력에 빛나는 봉준호 감독과 로버트 패틴슨 주연 '미키 17', 오직 극장에서"라며 개봉일과 함께 30초 가량의 티저 영상을 공개해 눈길을 끌었다.Warner Brothers drew attention by releasing a 30-second teaser video on its official Twitter account on the 6th (Korea Standard Time) with its release date, saying, "Director Bong Joon-ho and Robert Pattinson's 'Mickey 17' starring Robert Pattinson."
공개된 티저 영상에는 미지의 공간에서 눈을 뜬 로버트 패틴슨의 모습이 담겨있다.The released teaser video shows Robert Pattinson opening his eyes in an unknown space. '미키 17'은 로버트 패틴슨을 비롯해 스티븐 연, 나오미 애키, 마크 러팔로 등이 주연을 맡았다.Mickey 17 stars Robert Pattinson, Stephen Yeon, Naomi Aki, and Mark Ruffalo.
'미키 17'은 에드워드 애슈턴의 SF 소설 '미키7'을 원작으로 하고 있으며 미지의 행성을 개척하는 복제인간의 이야기를 담고 있다.Mickey 17 is based on Edward Ashton's science fiction novel Mickey 7 and tells the story of a cloned human pioneering unknown planet. 그러나 버라이어티는 "'미키7'을 각색한 영화지만 줄거리는 아직 확정되지 않았고, 봉준호 감독이 얼마나 원작에 충실할 계획인지도 불분명하다"라고 보도했다.However, Variety reported, "It is a movie adapted from Mickey 7, but the plot has not yet been confirmed, and it is unclear how much Bong Joon-ho plans to stick to the original."
'미키 17'은 칸 영화제 황금종려상은 물론 제92회 아카데미 시상식에서 작품상, 감독상, 각본상, 국제영화상 등 4관왕에 오른 영화 '기생충' 이후 봉준호 감독의 첫 작품으로 큰 관심을 끌고 있다.Mickey 17 is drawing keen attention as director Bong Joon-ho's first work since the movie Parasite, which won four awards at the 92nd Academy Awards as well as the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. 봉준호 감독은 '기생충' 이후 차기작을 고민하던 가운데 지난해 말 에드워드 애슈턴의 미발표 원고를 받고, 관심을 갖게 됐다고 전해졌다.Director Bong Joon-ho reportedly became interested after receiving Edward Ashton's unreleased manuscript late last year while considering his next film after "Parasite."
한편 '미키 17'은 2024년 3월 29일 극장에서 개봉할 예정이다.Meanwhile, Mickey 17 is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 29, 2024.
