그는 "근데 이번 드라마가 자랑스러웠는지 동생이 (커피차를) 보내주고 싶다고 하더라"며 "난 동생이랑 사이가 좋다. 그래서 커플 교복을 입고 놀이동산을 간 적이 있다. 보통 남매들은 그러지 않다고 들었다. 동생을 많이 좋아하는 분들은 이미 알고 숨겨주고 있었다. 그러던 중 동생과 함께 강아지를 임시 보호를 하고 있었다. SNS에 같은 사진을 올리니 둘이 사귀냐 라면서 열애설이 난 거다"라고 털어놨다.
이어 "근데 얼굴도 닮고 같은 성이다 보니 가족이란 게 알려졌다"라며 "(동생과 스캔들 난 건) 기분 좋았다. 다 여동생이었는데 남동생이 한 명이다. 그래서 거의 키우다시피 했다. 같이 일하니 든든하다. 말하지 않아도 서로 이해하는 것들이 있고 품어주는 것들이 있다. 동생이 열심히 하는 걸 보면 더 열심히 해야지 싶다"라고 얘기했다.
또한 "난 동생의 표정을 알고 있다. 동생이 힘든데도 열심히 무대에 서고 참는 걸 보면서 힘을 얻고 나 또한 그렇게 힘 내야겠다고 생각했다"고 덧붙였다.
끝으로 배다빈은 "앞으로 내 모습이 궁금하다. 배우로서 어떤 내일을 살지. 대사 중에 '현재가 바뀌어야 과거가 바뀌고 미래가 바뀐다'란 말이 있다. 내 삶의 목표였던 다음 작품을 하고 기대하기 보단 주어진 순간에 감사하고 잘 살아내고 싶다. 그렇게 살다 보면 내가 바라는 행복엔 조금씩 가까워질 것이다"라고 다짐했다.
